The cooperation between Braun and LyondellBasell resulted in the development of a new material – Hostacom PP HU42L – for steam iron application able to meet all the requirements. Braun selected the Hostacom PPR 4170L grade for use in water gauge housing due to its high transparency and excellent resistance to yellowing upon contact with steam at elevated temperatures.
